By looking at these photos i suddenly am reminded of my bad posture. My mother would always tell me to stop slouching and sit up straight but i never can.

Nothing interesting is going on in my life, i made a huge mistake that i'm currently trying to undo. Whenever my life is falling apart i seek solace and retreat into the fantasy world of fashion. It's an escape. So i'm working on a few moodboards and gathering my trend inspiration. What i do is collect runway photos that inspire me and keep them in my ipod then head to thrift stores and look for clothing with a similar vibe. It's all about interpreting the runway looks for every day with affordable items.

Why did it go from 70 degrees to 94 in two days?

still haven't gone to the beach and probably won't, oh well less wrinkles for me.

I absolutely love endless.com for guilt free mindless shopping. On my shopping cart are some fur boots and leopard keds. I've started paying more attention to my shoewear lately, and have even bought my first pair of jeffrey campbell boots (in the post below).

Aug 29: Picture + Music

I've had a few outfit shots waiting to be posted . i can't say what 's keeping me from doing it . Lack of energy i guess.

My neighbors opened a priority mail package of mine the other day and they left it opened and out in the backyard. just thought i'd mention it.

Moving out didn't go as planned more on that later.

is it wrong to create an entire fall wardrobe around a pair of boots?

I've got nothing else to go on.

Me and my friend attempted to go shopping at the mall, two days in a row. I hadn't been there in some time. i guess i forgot how lame it could because we found absolutely nothing except some pajama shorts at Forever 21. The photo above was taken at Urban Outfitters, where no shoes are comfortable.

My friend loved my Marc Jacobs earrings because they look like gauges from afar which is the same reason i'm so into them.

Right now I'm attempting a quick post before work . A few days until September and i still don't have fall inspiration. Life has gotten a little too wild for me, i plan on retreating to the reliably entertaining world of style blogs tonight.

I saw Winter's Bone and Scott Pilgrim last week, i would recommend Winter's Bone over Scott Pilgrim but i did find it funnier than i thought it would be, Scott Pilgrim that is. There is not too much to laugh at with Winter's Bone.

Mind Dreaming

I actually used a timer for these shots, YAY me! But seriously i've been so scared of the timer and and even though my bf bought me a tripod and professional lighting i never make use of it. I always want him to do it, but he's being so grumpy lately and works too much to do the shoots.
So i'm going to be trying the self timer thing every now and then.

I have a whole week off and i'm going to spend it wisely. I plan on going to the beach if it kills me, also will come up with fall inspiration and rifle through my closet for fall looks.

I love my AA chiffon top, it's so comfy and bright. I have a similar one from H&M that i wore in this post. But the sleeves ripped (surprise, surprise). This outfit is actually something i wore to see inception with my bf and an intern from his office. I liked it so much that i decided to wear it again for the shoot. Only my hairstyle was different. That's not cheating right ? because i did wear it out.
God i love my lip smackers Dr. Pepper, i know i said it was for summer but i think i'm still going to wear it in the fall.

The Kids Want Noise

My last summer outfit. What does that mean?

This is the last time i will allow myself to indulge in "up to there" shorts and skirts.

I was very perturbed when bloggers and magazines alike started telling me i was done with summer. I can't even believe it's already august and i sulked for a while thinking about all the things i didn't get to do this summer like go to the beach/pool, post my favorite looks, barbecue etc.

But if you can't beat'em join'em. So i am officially preparing for fall, and am in "pre-fall" as it were. So even if the weather doesn't cooperate i will be donning fall inspired looks. Don't get me wrong i am not walking out in 90 degree weather with a sweater on but some thin knits, some fall inspired colors should be enough to get me in that mindset

Here is what i am hoping to see and wear this fall:

new animal prints i.e. giraffe

less 70's/80's and more 90's/50's

nudes

That's all i have so far. Do you all have any ideas for trends this season ?

I must admit that i neglected the fall collections quite a bit and am now struggling to get a feel for what to expect. Ugh , i used to watch every single show every season and track the trends obsessively on blogs and magazines.

but sometimes you have to live life, all of that takes more time than i have.

So if anyone could throw some ideas my way feel free. I don't think it's mindless at all to follow some trends it keeps things interesting especially if you try and find way to incorporate them into your personal style.

at least i went to a lot of shows this summer! well not as many as i should have but i saw these guys which i loved!
