I hope to enjoy my 5 day vacay to PA. despite the fact that i have three research papers and a test to study for. I might use that as an excuse to escape if the people i stay with get too tiring. Human interactions tire me sometimes. i'm just introverted.

This is what i wore to see a show around where i work with my two besties. It was pretty fun.
Total Slacker was the best set of the night. You guys should check them out if you get a chance. Although i did miss that cute guy from The Beets' performance. I've seen him play 5 times, will he ever notice me?.Probably not since he has a gf that looks like a boy. Why do these cute indie guys go for those type of chicks? Why can't they give other girls a chance to prove they're interesting? Well i guess i'm doing the same thing if i only look at dudes who are tall, skinny and awkward looking. But i don't ever feel like they look back at me. Now you all must think i'm vain. I'll shut up about it.

So yeah, my sister gave me these leather gloves for my birthday (in april). Is she not the best! Don't worry sister i will take that into account when i make my xmas list. She also gave me these gorgeous snake earrings.

I'm hoping that in PA i'll get to do some small town thrifting!
and i'm also using this as an excuse to take tons of photos with outfits i've been saving for ages.

I leave Tuesday.

So mad i didn't get to see my "almost favorite" band play on Sat. But at least i got to see HP7.

Everything's Ending Here

turtleneck!

i was really excited about the trip to Philly. The endless rain didn't dampen my excitement. Thanks to Hannah and her Philly Guide i was kept perfectly busy by going from thrift shop to thrift shop. We had the best time ever!

I was so carefree i might have been in jamaica.

So when i went to see Interpol i was a bit disappointed by both the venue, the crowd and their performance. We were all seated (which i hate) as if to watch a film. Then they started playing . Ddin't really say anything or seem to have any connection with the audience. Sound quality was great. Songs are awesome. But. It felt so dead. Just one song after the next.

Being the new yorker that i am, i quickly assumed that they weren't giving their energy to a show that wasn't in the capital of the world (yeah , that's what we call nyc, capice?).

they also didn't play Specialist or Leif Erikson. They did play Obstacle 1 however, and i went crazy. Not nyc crazy, not even brooklyn crazy, but some type of crazy. The most that the awkward seating would allow. Shall i make an excuse to see them at their NYC show in Feb? Interpol Round 2.

I love the color of this coat. A variation on camel. I found it in the men's section and wore it with a turtleneck, quickly checking off two of my other fall trend must haves: BF coat and camel.

Then i tried out something new which i've been seeing my coworkers and some chicks on the L train do. knee highs over tights. except they do black and i put my own twist on it . You can't really see in in these pictures but my knee high socks have specks of color like fruity pebbles all over them and i wore burgundy tights. I'm an individual.

Aug. 6th : Pictures+Music

Hope you've been enjoying the same four pictures for the last two weeks . my bad.

I've been every where and no where. I keep having a dream where i find out i had an entire class i forgot about on wednesdays and it's too late to withdraw. Gives me a heart attack every time.

At work they made us dress up as " Cowboys and [sic] Indians". I grew up in Arizona, calling them indians is a no-no, but i did it. I was a cowgirl and wore this cute bolo tie that i found at Salvation Army a few moons ago. Didn't even know it was called that until a customer commented on it, tee hee.

I thought it was really lame that we were restricted to a theme. I saw that isabel from Hipster Musings posted what her coworkers wore and they looked so much cuter in their AA gear.

When i got this song a month ago it reminded me that there is still bands left to discover. My only regrets in life will likely be the songs i didn't hear and the books i didn't read.
