I feel entirely pathetic for my blogging habits as of late. It's been over a month of sparse posts and half ass efforts. It bothers me especially that i haven't gotten around to looking at everyone's updates. And i'm so behind on new music that i would need hours to go over the mp3s i've compiled on my usb drive. I think it might bother me more to miss the new posts on my favorite blogs than it does to not be able to post as often . I've been struggling but it will probably get easier when i buy my macbook pro after taxes.

But as long as i still have the urge to keep the blog going it will remain for those who are still interested.

So far this year i've grown entirely bored with my wardrobe and all of the spring trends with the exception of longer skirts. This being one of the few places i have ventured. I'm not going to invest too much on longer skirts because i'm sure that i'll want to go back to more flattering short skirts.I'm only 5'3 after all.

I took some indoor photos, which are always the hardest, because it continues to snow here in NY and this part of the northeast. I drank so much coffee trying to get shots for this post that i got a huge migraine. I haven't been looking my best and i'm praying for warm weather.

I love these tights and these comfortable shoes with a modest heel. The tights are like leg jewelry.

Rings and Rings

I haven't done a jewelry post in a while. I've really been craving a thick silver ring in an interesting eye catching shape or with cute details. I love the above because it reminds me that the next meaningful holiday (to me at least) is Valentine's Day. i've always been a pink and hearts kind of girl. I always doodle hearts when I'm bored. They're sweet but not too girly in this ring because they are all silver.

I like this one because it has a grittier chain and biker feel to it . Which is going to be something i revisit this spring. I think this one is more versatile. Not too mention that jewelry is always a great V day gift.

This dress had everything i wanted in an NYE dress. Black. Velvet. Long sleeves. The rows of buttons going all the way down were more than i could have asked for.

I knew it was the one the moment i saw it last month during my trip to Harrisburg. Judging by the amount of girls trying on LBDs at American Apparel on New Years Eve ( that's right i worked that night!) i may have been the only one to choose a dress that early. But i've always been one to get that sort of thing out of the way. However, i must admit to buying the shoes the night before NYE.

They are quite beautiful and i hope that comes across in the photos. They really look odd next to the shoes in my closet though. They are the only ones that are completely black and delicate. Spending most of the year in Brooklyn has clearly influenced my shoes this year . I wasn't all too pleased with that because i've always thought my style didn't fit into any boxes. I'm going to make sure i consciously buy different types of shoes this year because lately i've been having a hard time matching shoes to certain looks. I find myself hopelessly looking at rows of clog booties, lace up boots and oxfords.

I wasn't in the mood to spend too much time taking photos that night because it was freezing and my bf /photog was drunk.

In case you were wondering where i took this gorgeous dress on NYE, the bf took me out to dinner at Le Gamin in Brookyln, where i had filet mignon and he had too much champagne. Then we went home and fell asleep. No NYE disaster story here. I prefer to start my year sober.

On a different note i found out recently that i've been wearing the wrong bra size . I found out that my measly b's had turned into Cs this past year , an event akin, (no doubt) to getting a raise at work. Which also happened to me this year !

When i told my sister and best friends (who are all still b's) they eyed my chest suspiciously and announced that i'd betrayed the B team. I wasn't aware there was a team but i'm happy to have an upgrade.

Bad thing is i have to buy new bras this year.

New Year's resolutions include posting more often, reading a poem every week, watching all the movies that get nominated for awards, buying a new macbook pro and not killing my bf's room mates' cat.
