AA skirt and dress worn as shirt with H&M bra and jeffrey campbell shoes

Am currently so tired that i just referred to cucumbers as pepperonis when buying my footlong at Subways. Again i am proved right: I cannot start my days before 9 am. I've been dying to wear this gorgeous skirt out for so long. I have a love hate relationships with my longer skirts. One i use solelyas a pajama. I put it on and crawl into bed because i'm too lazy to pull my covers over me and the skirt is soo warm!

But it can make me look like a church lady. This one i like a lot more. I chose this color because i thought it would photograph well. The two times i've worn it i've gotten a lot of stares but no glares. Which shows how far the maxi skirt trend has gone in the last two years. i think people would have openly ridiculed me before, not that they don't for other reasons, but now i just get these interested stares . Wondering stares of women as if asking themselves "can i pull it off". Or at least the wondering stares of girls thinking "do i like it ?"

i also wonder, while i'm sauntering down the dirty brooklyn streets of my bf's neigborhood, if anyone recognizes it's a completely Jil Sander copied look. I know we all do !

I've seen quite a few more women wearing the maxi skirts and i always point them out to my bf, rather violently, because i had told him in february that everyone would be wearing long skirts this spring/summer. He says , not the girls that actually want to attract guys! But he's such a hypocrite because he loves my new accordion pleat skirt (seen above)!

I can't wait till my flatforms arrive because i have a feeling they would be incredible with my new long skirts. I'm finally starting to feel hopeful about my wardrobe again.

Things I've just bought:

It smells like a dream, my only complaint is that it melts like butter in the water.

I needed a new notebook on which to jot down things to spent my money on, school deadlines and foreign movies i want to watch. I bought it at this cute bookstore in Greenpoint named Word.

from top to bottom: Dr Bronners bar of soap in lavender, Paper+ Cup Old School Ledger and the Won Hundred Hand.

Except i bought the shoes in black. After close debate with my bf (meaning mostly me insisting the opposite of everything he would say) I chose the black ones because black is my signature color !

They are the most expensive shoes i have ever bought , but my life is sucking and i needed something to be happy about. I told myself they were worth the money because i'm going to wear them every day of spring. Their "flatform" description makes me think they'll be comfortable.

I'm really excited that Life of Pi is being made into a film. I can't imagine how incredible it will be to see a tiger on a lifeboat with a boy.
