I was really excited to try the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Express Kit. I had my bf choose which arch stencil was closest to mine, I used the high arch. Following the directions in the kit, I put the brow wax cream before the powder. I think i put too much wax cream on the first brow! It acted as a kind of wetting agent for the powder and made it go on like paint. That wasn't very good but the second brow came out perfect. I think next time i won't put so much wax or powder on.

It's amazing what new eyebrows can for a girl's self esteem!

Like i said a perfect gift for yourself or a friend.

Stocking Stuffer Guide

You know my family never really did the stocking concept. We tried it out one year and they were stuffed with candies and that sort of thing . I wonder if the majority of people even put up stockings. to stuff. My guess is that most don't however I really enjoyed making this lists for those that do.

These are my new favorite balms and this is the one I use. They are vegan! Mine is never sticky and the black cherry one adds just a hint of redness on my lips which i really love in a balm.

I only have one pair but i'd like some more. They really do make you happy when you look down at your feet. Especially if you're having a bad day.


aa glitter nail polish
I definitely wouldn't put something from aa on the list if I didn't really love it. Since I work there I am especially critical of everything aa. But this nail polish is my new favorite thing. If I weren't under so much stress, due to finals, I would take a picture of my glitter nails. I probably will eventually but you'll have to take my word for now. This nail polish is amazing!

I decided last minute to include this. They sent me this product a day ago and I'm really happy. I'm not the kind of girl who heads to salons for a brow wax, I'd much rather go shopping. This is perfect for me and maybe your lazy sister/friend. I'll do a review of this with before and after pictures soon.

Yes this is still a personal style blog. This semester at school has been utter misery and has taken it's toll on my happiness. Those of you following my personal tumblr might already know that. I haven't taken many other pictures besides these, which i took during Thanksgiving break. Such a fun and relaxing time that i nearly vomited on the bus ride home from anxiety. I sure came back to a hellish study load for finals. Wish me luck. I am working on my gift guides.
I am so happy i won't be taking winter classes so i can post more regularly.


I am sure you've all seen this shirt but have you seen it in red yet? I think too many shy away from red but i consider it easier to wear than teal or grey (two colors i see quite often on blogs).

I bought one of their canon lens coffee mugs as a gift last year and was really pleased to see they now have shot glass versions. All their items are pretty gift worthy.

I know quite a few guys that love saying the word rustic ( namely my bf). Every time he describes something he likes i will undoubtedly end up hearing the word thrown in there. An example: I really love that new bar on Roebling blah blah blah rustic blah blah. But do forgive me for indulging my disdain. This would make a great gift!

Missed Connections book

For the closet romantic. I admit i've stayed up until 3 am several nights browsing missed connections and wondering about the people they were written for and about the people who wrote them. Sophie Blackall has put cute and sweet illustrations to the words of several missed connections from nyc. The CL ads she illustrates read like hilarious anecdotes to a best friend (Anyone Know that White Girl with Black Hair and Old Fashioned Clothes?). This would be a perfect gift and, like the missed connections on craigslist, would revive my faith in modern love.
